I enjoy making science as fun and engaging for my students as possible. I often have my students working in groups and collaborating. I feel students learn best when I can get them doing something versus listening to lectures. When we can get children engaged in the scientific process, it will teach them vital skills needed in adulthood like critical thinking and asking meaningful questions.
I also love implementing technology into the classroom. I have developed activities using ipads, promethean boards, flip cameras, and other forms of technology.
Lastly, I enjoy having the kids create. Whether it is a poster, model, or video. I love getting my kids to the stage where they can take the information given to them and create something. It shows such a higher understanding of the material and you get to see their creative sides.
