Hello, I have taught First grade and Second grade for four years with AACPS. I am currently entering my 4th year as an Arts and Humanities Teacher with AACPS. I have been teaching for a total of 8 years.

This bundle includes a free resource of a Black History Month writing project that coordinates with the biography information about Benjamin Banneker, Frederick Douglass, Josephine Baker, Maya Angelou and Wes Moore. Within the slides are links to videos, books, experiments and information from google searches and wikipedia. The biography information is used to help students make connections to these person so they can write about them in the project.

Teaching style

I am a teacher that has high expectations for showing respect for learning, self, others and school property. Once students learn how to show respect in all of those areas, that's when the real learning can begin. I really like to focus on student's social and emotional development before their academic development.

Outside of being a teacher, I love spending time with my family. I also have a background in dance and teach at Endless Boundaries dance studio in Anne Arundel County.
