About the store
I am a BCBA, and have been working in this field since 2010. It was supposed to just be a grad school job, but it stole my heart and here I am (in spite of a masters in Counseling). I'm working in a school now but previously I've also work in homes, daycares, and in the clinic setting, with learners of all ages. I also have ADHD, which is probably why I am so obsessed with making teaching easier for everyone involved by having easy to use and consume materials. Treat yoself to an easier day with some of these goodies!

Fix Your Plate - Food sorting file folder activity

Your kids will be so happy with the power to make their own plate that they won't even notice if you sneak in practice with choosing foods (reasonably) healthfully when fixing your own plate, expressively labeling, receptively identifying, or sorting foods by category. You can also practice manding/requesting by having the student hold the plate and request the foods that s/he desires. Four pages of foods are included--breakfast foods, fruit/veggies, desserts, and lunch/dinner food options.

Really hate pulling cards to make up a category/class when you're teaching your learners how to sort by category/class? ME TOO! One day I got big mad and decided to make easily printable materials grouped by goal, and now my life is infinitely better! I am wildly popular and successful in my career! Everyone loves me! This could be you if you just buy this file, print it on cardstock, cut out the cards, and if you're cool like me you'll laminate them too so that you only have to do this once or

This is a really fun token board for the learners that love a marble maze. The fully colored marble maze can be cut out into however many pieces you desire the token board to have, and the learner gets to "build" the marble maze as they earn their way closer to the real deal or another reward of his/her/their choice (which can be written with dry erase marker on the laminated token board to ensure that it can be modified to be useful when a learner's motivations change).

I cannot stand the assessment kits that have weirdly-sized picture cards, cartoon picture cards, dated picture cards, etc. I have channeled my disdain into the photo library of my dreams. This set has photos of 24 actions, with 5 or 6 examples of each one. They're all real photos, which I have arranged to print in an easy-to-cut-out grid for easy cutting and lamination. I recommend printing these on white cardstock and laminating after cutting out for best results.

For our learners that love Barbie and everything pink, here's a token board! Included are pages with tokens that include the pink background or that don't, so you can be as precise with your cutting as you feel like.

Counting with Goldfish crackers (1:1 correspondence file folder activity)

Counting with the boring generic manipulatives was not motivating one of my more active learners for practicing and demonstrating counting, his least favorite task. But you know what did? Goldfish crackers. So I got to thinking about how I could use that to make counting fun (WITHOUT feeding him hundreds of Goldfish in the process), and this is what I came up with. I hope it can help some other kids get on board with something they might not love otherwise, too.

Take your pick of which character visuals will be the most motivating targets for your learner! Easy-to-cut circle token options are also included in case you're pressed for time while making this.

Teaching style

If it's possible to make it fun, then make it fun!

Awards & shining teacher moments

BCBAs don't really get those unless you're in the research side of the field. But we get emotional thank yous from learners and their families, artistic testaments of our learners' love for us, and occasionally a marriage proposal.
