About the store
Hi! I’m Katy, a former first-grade teacher and now a stay-at-home mom to three sweet and energetic boys ages 5, 3, and 1. I taught for 7 years in Pre-K through 2nd grade classrooms, but most of my time (and heart) was in first grade. These days, I spend nap times and late nights creating resources that are fun and simple to prep. I know how much teachers juggle because I’ve been there, and my hope is that what I create saves you time and brings joy to you and your students. Thanks so much for being here and supporting my little shop. I’m always cheering you on! 💛

Teaching style

My teaching style is all about community, sharing, and engaging every student. I focused a lot on positive behavior support to help create a kind and encouraging classroom. When I create resources, I keep them simple, visually appealing, and easy to understand so teachers can spend less time prepping and more time teaching.

My own education history

I earned my Elementary Education degree from Walla Walla University and completed a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction at Grand Canyon University. My background helps me design resources that are both developmentally appropriate and practical for busy teachers.

Additional biographical information

When I’m not creating resources, I love spending time outdoors, crafting, and connecting with friends and family. I’m a bit of an organization fan and love keeping things tidy. Watching my own boys’ interests grow inspires me to design materials they—and my former students—would truly enjoy. Oh, and we have a house-trained pet rabbit who’s part of our little family too!
