This is a great tool to use at the end of a lesson to check for understanding. It can be adapted to fit any subject area.
I might have students answer three different questions and write one question in each shape. I might assign three general activities related to what we just learned, for example: 3 things you learned, two ways this will help you later and 1 question you still have.
Talk Buttons are a great way to provide students with oral words to write without having to provide them yourself!
In my classroom I record sight words or word family words on the talk buttons. During center time, my students locate the colored button and push to listen to the word. Then they write the word and illustrate a picture of it.
