Zones of regulation can be an important tool for children to understand their own emotions and learn how to self regulate. This can be particularly helpful to SEND children as a tool to support themselves. This would be a great tool to teach the children in your class and keep on display. It may also help to have a regulations zone in your classroom with colouring and fidgets and a timer of 5 minutes to support those who may need an emotional break from their learning.
