Experience

As a classroom teacher in a culturally diverse elementary school for the past 10 years, I have finally taken my colleagues' advice. The resources I have created for my students over the years are now available to others. My experience with English Language Learners has opened my mind to how children learn a second language. Teaching style

Students are naturally curious and open to learning when their interests are piqued. Through visuals, discussions, movements, and good literature, students are exposed to information in a meaningful way. My teaching style encourages students to make connections to their own lives and see into the thinking of others. I accomplish this through student-led discussions, critics, and projects. Empowering students to find their voice while listening to others' points of view is essential in creating a positive environment.
