About the store
I have been a science educator for nineteen years in the largest school district in the state of Georgia. I have primarily taught 6th grade Earth Science. In addition to teaching in the general education setting, I have taught accelerated Earth Science, Science Enrichment as well as worked extensively with ESOL and special education students. In previous years, I have chaired the grade level and grade level science department. Additionally, I have facilitated professional development at the local school level.

Building a Barometer: An Investigative Approach - Labratory Experiment
In this hands-on lab activity, students will build their own barometer and use it to record observations daily. Additionally, students will be able to connect the relationship between air pressure and weather conditions. This lab activity is all inclusive and includes the answer key and needed graph paper.

This review of meteorology is divided into four sections: Atmosphere; Winds; Weather; Weather Continued. This review hits on key meteorology concepts in each of the above areas. Additionally, this worksheet incorporates the use of diagrams, as well.

This is a zip-file format, meaning that video clips are included to allow for enabled video content.

Weathering / Erosion / Deposition / Soil - Review Scavenger Hunt -er
This review game is excellent for kinestic learners. Students answer key review questions over weathering, erosion, deposition, and soil content while having the opportunity to move. This game is also self-checking and can be played in a variety of spaces. I enjoy placing the questions on the lower half of the wall and having students "crab walk" between the qustions. This game can also be used with the companion student answer sheet, also available on my website.

What's the Weight? - Astronomy Weight Calculations
This interdisciplinary lesson combines astronomy and math. Students must use their knowledge of space and simple mathematic computations to determine the weight of various common classroom objects on different planetary objects in the solar system. Students should be able to draw conclusions based on the various relationships created.
