Word Processing and Formatting exercise
The following is a great formatting and keyboarding exercise that I use with my computer students. Below the directions, I insert a certain poem which I will not insert her because of Copyright issues. For my lesson I use the Crocodile’s Toothache, but you could really use any Poem you feel is appropriate for the grade level you teach. Student then type the poem in either Google Docs or Word and then follow the directions to format it correctly for credit. The point values I placed below can

About the store
Experience
I have been a teacher for over 20 years. I have mostly taught computers at the middle school level, but I have also completed a few years of teaching high school business courses. I also have experience teaching English in middle school and at the high school level.
Teaching style
I incorporate a student centered environment where kids are encouraged to try new things. A challenge I am faced with in my teaching is keeping students of varying abilities on the computer challenged within the same classroom. I use cooperative learning as well as self paced activities in my teaching to help keep all of my students motivated and on task.
My own education history
I have an undergraduate degree in education from East Stroudsburg University and a Masters of Science in Technology Instruction from Walden University. My focus for that degree was on integrating technology into the classroom. Additionally, I am certified to teach Tech Ed and am certified to teach Project Lead The Way's Computer Science, Design and Modeling, and Robotics Curriculum.
