Teaching style

I believe in hands on learning so my teaching style models that practice. I like to show and tell so usually I model teaching then the students either follow along as I do it or watch then practice as I go over things with them. I usually teach the child the best way they learn which means differentiating instruction for the learner.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I am an author and have written a number of books highlighting learning and faith. I feel that my material would serve homeschool curriculums with common core intertwined. I provide both educational and spiritual guidance.

My own education history

I have a bachelor's degree in Special Education k-12 from Eastern Michigan University and a Master's degree in Learning Disabilities from Madonna University. I am trained in differentiated instruction, Reading strategies, and Collins Writing which I use in my teaching of writing. I also attended Bible schools so I am well versed in spiritual education.
