I use the last six weeks of school to do a large Science project with my students. We learn about weather systems, clouds, etc. This project incorporates Reading, Math, and Science skills as well as collaboration and cooperation. This lesson is fun for the kids and encourages more outdoor work during this nice Spring season! :)

These activities can be printed, manipulated on the SmartBoard, or discussed as a whole group. Instead of using a class newsletter that I fill with information about what we are learning in class, students complete their own personal newsletter. Students fill out this form on Fridays. It allows students to take ownership.

This document supports Common Core. It also prepares for student-led conferences.
I hope you enjoy it! :)
I attach this sheet to my students' report card. I have them fill it out in front of me and then I sign it. I utilize this as a reflection so that parents and students can see the correlation between behaviors and grades.
I use this for my Word Work center for the Daily 5. Pin the wheel to cardstock or another type of thick paper so that the students can spin the wheel. Students will do the activity that the wheel lands on :)
