Teaching style

Mrs. Mason works tirelessly creating materials to use with her students and classroom teachers she supports. Kristen loves sharing these classroom-tested ideas with everyone. Kristen taps into her background as an Elementary Reading Specialist to create other resources for teachers and students. She loves to create resources that help teachers and get kids learning! Kristen first creation on TPT was designing Directed Drawings. She stumbled upon Directed Drawings when another teacher taught her and she was hooked! Now, she loves designing Directed Drawing activities for children of all ages. Simple lines, shapes, and letters can create fabulous creations. Anyone can be an artist.

Bachelor’s of Education, Virginia Tech, certified K-5 Master’s Degree in Education, M.Ed., University of Virginia Endorsement in Reading Intervention, certified K-12 Orton-Gillingham (OG) training through IMSE LETRS Trained (Volumes 1 & 2: Units 1-8)
