Children can match the owls to the trees by shape. Print and match these shapes. These would be great laminated to use over and over again. This set includes 8 shapes: circle, star, square, diamond, rectangle, oval, and heart.
This is a downloadable PDF. This is in black and white. The colors include; red, orange, yellow, blue, purple, black, white, grey, brown, and pink. This should be printed on colored printer or construction paper. I used construction paper for mine.
Children can learn sorting, colors, and counting by sorting their Gold fish crackers on this page. This would be great laminated like a place mat. Children can sort their crackers by color, then they could count how many of each color they have.
This is 5 pretend letters to be matched by shape. Each stamp has a shape on it to be matched with each letter. The children can also sort the mail. I made pretend mail boxes and put the shape onto the top and let the children deliver the mail. If printed in color it is a bit easier. Black and white printing would make it a bit more challenging. We used this when learning about community helpers and postal workers.
