Students will learn the basics of MyPlate. They will compare and contrast MyPlate with MyPyramid. Students will learn valuable nutrition tips. Students will create a 3 day meal plan using the 5 food groups.

This PowerPoint introduces you to hand sewing, and sewing tools. It gives a brief definition of basic sewing tools and how to use them. Short engaging video clip with effects of sugar, grouped students will attempt to rank common beverages from which they think have lowest amount of sugar to highest (nutrition label covered). Students will research their favorite beverage and measure out the # of teaspoons of sugar are in one serving, and create a visual.
