I work in a severe special education preschool classroom, supporting young learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)—many of whom are non-verbal or emerging communicators. My classroom is structured, nurturing, and fully adapted to meet each student’s unique sensory, communication, and behavioral needs.
Every day, I use a combination of visual supports, adaptive tools, interactive books, and hands-on learning to help my students develop early academic skills, independence, and functional communication. My goal is to create a safe, joyful, and inclusive environment where every child feels seen, supported, and celebrated—regardless of how they communicate.
Working with these incredible learners is both challenging and deeply rewarding. Their growth—big or small—is at the heart of everything I do.
