As an ABA therapist for 7 years, I relied a lot on collecting data using step sheets to check in on where my students were academically, socially, skill wise, vocationally, etc. Once I got to public school, I found that these were very useful in the special ed classroom. I made these based on a student I had in 2nd grade that had fallen behind. There are many different subjects that data was collected in. Here is a daily data collection form we use for a student of mine with significant behaviors. We use this to see if there is a trend in the time of day these occur and how often. Also, this makes it easy for staff (paras) to just tally if a behavior occurs.

Here is a token board I created for one of my students in Kindergarten who was having a difficult time staying focused. We laminated this and used a black expo maker to check it off if each was complete.

I used this with a student who was in a sub-separate classroom due to behaviors and we were trying to work our way back into the General Education setting with his peers. We started expectations low and worked our way up to get him back in the classroom. I made this so we could make the goals together.
