About the store
I am a school library media specialist in a middle school serving 6-8 grade. My passion is technology and I believe that it can truly enhance a lesson if used with a purpose. I have been in my position for 4 years and in that time have had the pleasure of collaborating with teachers and creating materials that help them include meaningful technology into their lessons. I recently added a makerspace to my library as well, which gives students opportunities to explore low-tech and high tech options in an open setting.

Does it Sink or Float? Spreadsheet Activity

This spreadsheet includes pre-added formulas that will help determine if an object will sink or float once the mass and volume are included in the appropriate columns. This is a great activity for learning about density while introducing students to inputting information in spreadsheets.

Teaching style

I don't like to talk very much and I like to let students dive in and start exploring with technology tools. I love it when they learn something new about the tool that I didn't previously know. Technology is constantly changing and I like to let students see that I am always learning from others as well. We are all lifelong learners!
