Nutrition Labels - Totaling Nutrients - Cheerios vs Frosted Flakes
Students learn how to add up nutrient totals when servings of food don't equal 1. For example, if we have 2 bowls of cereal, or double the amount of chips during a movie, people need to be aware that their nutrients are doubling what it says on the label. Practising this skill over and over again will make it intuitive for student to apply this skill in the future naturally.

Experience
I have 11 years teaching experience in all primary grades except for grade 6. Previous to that, I taught martial arts for 7 years.

Teaching style
I'm very dramatic and loud! I have everyone's attention by including them in stories about the work and making sure everyone feels welcome. We often get off track and so the students feel like they're learning with me because we are always having a group discussion instead of a 1 to 30 talking session.
