I have been teaching second grade for several years now. I also work with small group intervention. I am a leader in professional development in literacy (focusing on word study), technology, and grant writing for my school. I am also the editor-in-chief of a school publication written by Kindergarten through 5th grade students. Previously, I was a program coordinator for Pre-K/Kindergarten.

This is a fun way for students to practice their two digit addition skills. There are a total of 10 different tic-tac-toe boards with answer keys (5 with and 5 without regrouping). I recommend printing on a variety of colored paper and laminating. The answer key should be separated from the game baord. This binder organizes student work and acts as communication between home and school. Students organize assessments and track their achievement data on graphs (all graphs included) and send the binder home with students at the end of each week. Parents review the new data and reflect with their child (reflection and parent signature page included) and return the binder on Monday. Great way for students and parents to take ownership over learning and no more report card "surprises". Calendars

This reading log is a quarterly booklet. The cover features a megaphone with RAH Journal (Read At Home). The log pages of daily reading. The pages can be copied back to back, folded in half, and stapled into a booklet. For example: Students would write the title of the book, the number of minutes read, and their parents would initial. There is a line for a total minutes for each week. Hint: You can fill in the first page as an example before copying the booklet.

This helps students self-monitor to when they need help and how to choose independent activities. It was designed with then intent of using with math centers, but is easily adaptable to other areas where students will independently choose activities or centers.

I strive to engage students through their interests and differentiate instruction for their needs. I integrate subject areas and utilize technology as much as possible to hep student facilitate maximum achievement for my students.
