Using this cut and paste activity, your students can model fact families using visual models. This activity will help your students understand the relationship of numbers in a family by representing them using pictures instead of numbers. I have uploaded the word document so that you can change the numbers as needed. This is a great foundational activity before having students show fact families using digits!

This activity can be used as practice or an exit slip when learning about the making ten strategy to add 3 addends. The graphics on this worksheet aide students as they gain and understanding of making a ten and counting on to find a sum.
