This is a novel study I created for The Silver Chair, by C.S. Lewis, and the main focus is practicing using different types of figurative language. Each chapter has a different focus where the student will write an example and then draw a picture. Some examples of figurative language that is focused on is: metaphor, simile, hyperbole, allusion, and more.
These worksheets are designed to get the students' minds thinking creatively. The layout of the book has many intricate designs and descriptions. By the time the students are done with the book and this packet, they will have some of their own great designs to show off!
This is a novel study for The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, by C.S. Lewis. Each chapter has a different activity. There are several different poems the students are asked to write, and the other activities have different types of activities based on the multiple intelligences.
This is a four week vocabulary quiz pack for The Captain's Dog, by Roland Smith. There is also a final vocabulary test that tests on all words. There is not a key that goes along with this, but it is easy to figure out the answers as you go each week.
This is a novel study for the book The Door in the Wall by Marguerite de Angeli. Each page has questions to either prompt a class discussion, or for the students to answer in a complete sentence. Many worksheets also have a fun activity for the students to do based on that chapter. There is one worksheet per chapter.
