Letter Dd anchor chart pictures. The teacher can cut them out and have students glue them to an anchor chart. The teacher can them review each picture and spell the words out. Afterwards the students can create a small anchor chart and draw at least 2-3 of the pictures and write the words.
These fun and simple pictures can be cut out and glued to an anchor chart. Whole group lesson the teacher can write and say the letters as they write the words for each picture. I like for my students to use the finished chart to create their very own anchor chart. They will write the focus letter in the middle of a sheet of paper and then draw 2-3 pictures from the big chart and write the words.
This fun activity allows students to practice writing letter Oo words while at the same time get familiar with words that begin with the letter Oo. All you have to do is print out the sheets laminate them or place them in a sheet protector and bind them together or place them in a folder. I put them in the writing center with dry erase markers and erasers. All the student has to do is practice writing each letter and say the word and then erase.
Use these pictures to fill up your letter Oo circle chart. Write the name of the pictures as you add them to the chart or have students write them. Circle all of the letter O's on the circle chart once you have added all of the pictures. Also have students whose names begin with the letter O write their names on the chart!
