Experience
Teaching Experience: Twenty years. Sixteen years at the middle school/junior high level. Social studies, reading, and ESL are my strengths.
Teaching style
Students are active participants in their learning. I am a firm believer in modeling assignments and illustrating progress through setting goals and making personal charts. Students create and maintain progress charts. They also learn to analyze their progress and adjust goals.
An active classroom enables students to become very involved in their own learning. Critical thinking skills are essential for all students.
Love organizers and systematic learning. Assessments (informal and formal) are important to understand student needs.
