I start each class period with a two-part bell ringer. The 'left side' is to be completed individually which the students entering answers into their Interactive Notebook and the 'right' side is used as a 'turn and talk' and then as a class discussion. The 'right side' focuses on political cartoons, charts / graphs and higher order types of questions. I have found that using these as spiral reviews, I am able to spend a few minutes in each class to review those standards which may need some 'a
