A brief summary of the major Supreme Court cases (Marbury v. Madison, Tinker v. Des Moines, Hazelwood v. Kuhlmeier, Dred Scott, Brown v. Board of Education, Plessy v. Ferguson, Miranda v. I start each class period with a two-part bell ringer. The 'left side' is to be completed individually which the students entering answers into their Interactive Notebook and the 'right' side is used as a 'turn and talk' and then as a class discussion. We then 'go over' the bell ringer. I use set for my 7th graders to reinforce and review those topics that are important in the content.
