My approach to teaching is student-centered, inclusive and empowering. I organize an environment for students that aims to nurture their holistic development, be it their academic, physical, emotional and social needs. My goal is to engage my students in exploring their educational journey as well as their Language journey, by teaching them the inquiry-based learning method and developing critical thinking skills to prepare them becoming life-long (language)learners. As an African proverb says: "It takes a village to raise a child." I underline the importance of an open dialogue with parents, the collaboration of all teachers and involvement within a community are in my perspective essential elements to a child’s success in and out of the classroom.

I have a professional certification in Primary School Education and experience gained through ten years of teaching at International schools in Curaçao, Dubai, China, Macau, and The Netherlands.
