I later became a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) in Spanish and hold a California Clear Teaching Credential in World Languages. Additional biographical information

Language learning has been both a professional passion and a lifelong journey. Throughout my career, I have taught Spanish in the United States and abroad, working with learners from elementary school through university level. These experiences have shaped my belief that language learning should be meaningful, engaging, and connected to the real world. In addition to classroom teaching, I have served as a department leader, curriculum developer, mentor, presenter, and advisor to student affinity groups. I have led student immersion and cultural exchange programs to Argentina, India, and Mexico, helping students develop both language proficiency and intercultural understanding through authentic experiences. Beyond education, I have worked as a Spanish translator, interpreter, and voice-over artist for children's books, allowing me to bring authentic language and cultural perspectives into my teaching. I am also passionate about supporting first-generation college-bound students and creating inclusive learning environments where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed. The resources I create are inspired by decades of classroom experience, a commitment to excellence, and a belief that language learning opens doors to new opportunities, perspectives, and connections.
