About the store
Welcome to my store! I have spent 20+ years as a Speech and Language Therapist helping children communicate their 'voice' and supporting them to thrive at school and in developing relationships with others. I love my job because it makes such a positive difference to children's lives.
I am also hugely enthusiastic about second language learning (much to my husband's annoyance!) and I have been using my knowledge of linguistics and language learning to teach my son English and French since he turned 1 year. My husband likes to teach about Transformers, Star Wars and Superheroes! Our poor boy needs some middle ground!
I have designed and developed a curriculum for preschool programmes in French and Spanish!
My daughter has additional support needs so I'm expanding my knowledge in signing and therapy approaches for apraxia of speech.

Teaching style
Fun, motivating, developmentally appropriate!
Singing, interactive books, arts and crafts - gorgeous, bright visuals help to keep children engaged too and I spend a lot of time sourcing the right image!
Awards & shining teacher moments
Awarded funds from First Port Social enterprise to develop an app to support early vocabulary development in young children.
I am volunteer with Maya's Hope charity who helps children being raised in poverty and disadvantage.
My own education history
Studied at Queen Margaret University College in Edinburgh
University credit in Autism Studies.
Completed Quality Improvement Mentoring 9 month training programme in 2015.
