Experience

Educator of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing with over 15 years of experience serving students from birth through 12th grade across early intervention, itinerant, and classroom settings. Experienced in supporting diverse communication needs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and developing individualized, accessible instruction.

Teaching style

My teaching style focuses on creating engaging, literacy-rich learning experiences that support each student’s unique communication needs. I incorporate visual supports, language-building strategies, and accessible materials to help students develop strong language and literacy skills. I strive to create learning environments where all students can access, understand, and connect with content.

My own education history

I hold a Master’s degree in Deaf Education and a Bachelor’s degree in English – Creative Writing. I am also a Listening and Spoken Language Specialist (LSLS) – Certified Auditory-Verbal Therapist (AVT).
