Kathleen Scaler Scott, PhD CCC-SLP is a practicing speech-language pathologist, Board Certified Fluency Specialist, and Associate Professor of Speech-Language Pathology at Monmouth University, USA. Her research interests are largely in cluttering, atypical disfluency, fluency and concomitant disorders, and speech and fluency development in individuals on the autism spectrum. She is the co-editor of Cluttering: A Handbook of Research, Intervention, and Education (Psychology Press, 2011), co-author of Managing Cluttering: A Comprehensive Guidebook of Activities (Pro-Ed, Inc., 2013), and author of the newly released book Fluency Plus: Managing Fluency Disorders in Individuals with Multiple Diagnoses (SLACK, Inc.). Dr. Scaler Scott has spoken nationally and internationally on the topics of fluency and social pragmatic disorders. She was the first Coordinator of the International Cluttering Association, and is the recipient of the 2018 Deso Weiss Award for Excellence in the Field of Cluttering, and the 2018 Professional of the Year award from the National Stuttering Association.

Additional biographical information

Teresa Talbott CCC-SLP is a licensed American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) certified Speech Language Pathologist. She has worked as the speech therapist for over ten years in a multitude of educational settings from kindergarten through transition programs age 22. She has enjoyed helping a very diverse population of students with multiple and unique sets of strengths and challenges. Working at Anova since 2017, Teresa has spent considerable time investigating fluency and the influence of subclinical language skills as well as multiple diagnoses influences on effective communication and treatment strategies. She has presented at the Oxford International Fluency Conference and will be presenting at the ASHA national convention as well as the Joint World Congress on Fluency.
