Exploring Theme and Dialogue in Hugs by Ehud Lavski of EL Comics
5-day lesson plan that provides Bell Ringer and Exit activities as well as teacher model, group and independent activities. This graphic story engages with the text as they work to determine the theme and analyze its development over the course of the text. Students will also analyze how dialogue and incidents reveal aspects of character. A multi-leveled 10-question assessment w/key is included in the lesson.
