About the store
I've been teaching for 16 years, which means I've seen it all—from glitter explosions to mystery smells and the classic “he’s looking at me” drama. My style is all about structure with a side of silliness. I believe in the power of social-emotional learning, strong routines, and turning everyday moments into teachable ones (yes, even during bathroom breaks and snack time negotiations). If it helps kids grow into kind humans and keeps the classroom from catching fire—I'm here for it.

Experience

I've been teaching for 16 years, which means I've seen it all—from glitter explosions to mystery smells and the classic “he’s looking at me” drama. My style is all about structure with a side of silliness. I believe in the power of social-emotional learning, strong routines, and turning everyday moments into teachable ones (yes, even during bathroom breaks and snack time negotiations). If it helps kids grow into kind humans and keeps the classroom from catching fire—I'm here for it.

Teaching style

My teaching style is a mix of Mr. Rogers meets Ms. Frizzle—with a sprinkle of chaos, a dash of sarcasm, and a whole lot of heart. I believe in teaching the whole child, which means you'll find resources here that help kids feel their feelings, use their words, and solve their problems—preferably without throwing pencils. I love building classroom community, boosting confidence, and helping little humans grow into kind, capable, emotionally-intelligent people... all while sneaking in some standards and a laugh or two.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I have a Bachelor’s in Early Education and a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction, along with my English as a Second Language Endorsement and Special Education approvals—which basically means I’ve spent years learning how to turn standards, strategies, and student needs into lessons that kids actually love. I’m trained to take curiosity, pencils, and curriculum and turn them into magic. In my classroom, learning is active, joyful, and full of discovery. I believe every child deserves to feel successful, supported, and seen—no matter their background or learning style. Whether it’s helping a reader find their confidence, supporting language learners as they find their voice, or designing hands-on lessons that make complex ideas click, my goal is always to make learning accessible, meaningful, and fun. First grade in my world is full of laughter, movement, and a lot of “aha!” moments. We celebrate small wins, learn from mistakes, and build a classroom community where kindness leads the way. Bonus: I can write a lesson plan in my sleep and still make it fun, purposeful, and aligned—because first grade waits for no one.

My own education history

Additional biographical information

Hi! I’m a teacher who survives on caffeine, creativity, and the occasional copy machine miracle. After years of saying, “I should make that myself,” I finally did—and now I share it here with fellow tired but passionate educators. Whether you're teaching tiny humans or wrangling wild ones, I’ve got resources to help you teach smarter, not harder. Bonus points if you laugh while using them (or at least don’t cry into your lesson plans).
