Students create various winter graphs using Linear Functions and restrictions on their domain and range. Students may work from the graph to equations or from equations to graphs. Answers are included.

Students will grow corn stalks while collecting data. This data will be used to write a linear function, using appropriate domain and range, in point-slope form, slope-intercept form and function notation. Statistics come in to play when students find the linear regression equation that models their data and use that information to discuss interpolation vs. extrapolation as well as residuals. The lab is set up in steps, making it possible to focus only on functions or use of the entire lab.
Students use answers from each question to solve the following question. This is a cumulative review reviewing Order of Operations, Solving Equations and Inequalities, Proportions, Systems of Equations and Slope.
Students use answers from previous questions to answer questions ranging in topics including polynomial functions, composition of functions, complex numbers, focus and directrix, exponential equations, logarithmic equations and more.
Students work their way through a puzzle including basic radicals to operations with complex numbers. Every answer becomes part of the following questions. The final proof is true if all previous answers are correct!
