Students will write a narrative poem about themselves using one of the two templates provided, or can create their own. Document includes two poem templates, assignment guidelines/requirements, and rubric.
6 weeks of lesson plans and activities that align with Romeo and Juliet. Unit is broken down by weekly plans with objectives, agendas, and homework. This diagram allows students to track the different conflicts (man vs. man, man vs. nature, man vs. society, and man vs. self). Students then analyze which type(s) of conflict have the most influence over the plot. This could be used as an ongoing assignment or one-time use.
Students can use this diagram with any text to analyze characters (major vs. minor, dynamic vs. static, and examples of indirect/direct characterization). Diagram can be used multiple times over the course of a text or as a one-time assignment.

Students should answer questions after analyzing "Hanging Fire" by Audrey Lorde. Questions can be used as a quiz, independent assignment, discussion questions, and/or check for understanding.
