Can you find the bird hiding behind the tree? A sight word game that can be played with individual students, in small groups or whole class. Students read a sight word and the teacher moves the tree to see if the bird is hiding behind that tree. Play continues until the bird is found. Words on the trees can be edited. A great activity for distance learning!

Students are shown a picture, isolate the initial sound for the picture, and then have one minute to find something that starts with the same sound. Created for distance learning, but could be used in the classroom. There are 27 slides. Pictures for all the letters of the alphabet except Kk and Qq. Also includes /ch/, /sh/ and /th/ pictures. Timer is included on each slide.

You will need the free Google Chrome dice thrower extension to play this game or real dice and a document camera. This is a great game to work on counting and number sense. It can be played with individual students, in small groups or whole group. The teacher has one set of ten frames and the students play as a team using the other set of ten frames. Take turns rolling the dice until one player/team has filled in their ten frame(s). As you fill in the ten frames, you should alternate the color
