About the store
This will be my sixth year teaching, I have taught in charter schools in both California and Missouri. My first and second year I taught in a urban setting right outside of downtown LA, then moved up to Northern California where I taught a combination classroom of Kinder, First and Second graders and last year I taught second grade and this coming fall (2014-2015) I will be teaching fifth grade for the first time!

Experience

Teaching style
I believe that if a child can do something than a teacher shouldn't be doing it for them. I hope to foster a confident independence in my students to where they will feel capable and ready for the challenges that they will face in future grades and life.
My own education history
I graduated with a B.A. in Psychology in 2004 from University of Missouri-St. Louis.
I then moved to California where I obtained my teaching credential from Pacific Oaks College & Children's School in 2009.
I have all credits up to my Masters but haven't found the time to finish my thesis yet!!
Additional biographical information
My first child, an adorable baby boy was born in October of 2012 - so I get to do the two best things in the world - teach and be a mom. I'm incredibly lucky and grateful!
