Teaching style

I am most passionate about teaching math while integrating elements of nature and social-emotional learning (SEL) skills into the curriculum. I believe fostering a positive relationship with math is essential for long-term student success in the math classroom. My teaching resources strive to integrate the math classroom with the world and to diversify the way math is taught. I love to engage students by pairing math skills with intriguing and relevant content. I aim to make it easy to integrate outdoor learning, creative projects, and hands-on activities into your math curriculum.

Awards & shining teacher moments

My greatest teaching honor has to be when 2 students named me in a district-wide video as the teacher they feel cares about them the most. It was such a surprise and one of the best ways to be recognized for my work!

I live in Minnesota with my husband and 2 children. I love to get outside to bike, paddle and camp, but I also enjoy slower moments staring at flowers, trees and bugs. I also love writing curriculum - that’s why I do this! I am committed to quality and intentionality in my creations and want them to be easy for you to implement.
