Experience

Teaching style

My classroom is built on a blend of hands-on learning, blended learning using short content notes to keep students engaged, clear structure, and student-centered strategies. I design resources that are not only aligned to the Virginia SOLS, but also practical, easy to implements, and effective for a wide range of learners.

My own education history

I grew up in Springfield, Missouri and earned my undergraduate degree from Drury University before beginning my journey as an educator. As a proud military spouse, I've had the opportunity to live and travel across the United States and Japan, gaining a unique perspective on education and diverse learning communities. Along the way, I earned my Master's degree from Kansas State University. All of the experiences have shaped my approach to teaching. I believe in flexible, student-centered learning, which is grounded in real-world connections.
