Experience

I have been an Early Childhood Educator for the past 14 years. I have a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood. Teaching style

Children learn best through hands-on, engaging, and fun activities. Flashcards are not appropriate for young children. In order for children to understand concepts, they need to interact and explore the concept. Children need to have various experiences through play-based learning that include language/literacy, math, science, cooking, art, sensory, and outdoor experiences. Children also learn best when they are allowed to make choices of where they play and for how long and with who. Children DO NOT learn best when they are forced to rotate from center to center completing worksheets.
