About the store
I first started in education by becoming a reading tutor for the school district to help pay my way through college. I have worked as a director of a well-known after-school program and became very familiar with the grade-level activities for all ages. I have homeschooled my kids for 9 years and currently have 5 kids in school. I have taught preschool, kindergarten, U.S. History and Science in a classroom setting (2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th and 9th grade).

Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Further education in Child development.
Additional biographical information
As a mother of 8, I have learned that the learning never ends. A good teacher knows the students as well if not better than the information being taught and caters instruction to the individuals style of learning. As a musician, I believe in the value in music in educational development . Being a good reader is essential to being an effective independent learner. I try to incorporate these lessons and philosophies in my lessons.
