Promote college awareness year round in your classroom. This calendar provides a monthly activity that promotes college awareness. Activities are short and can then be posted in the classroom/hallway.

A summary is retelling what the book or story is about. It includes the main event or key points of the story. In a summary, these events should be told in chronological order. Characters, setting, problems, and solutions are also main events and should be included in the summary. This download includes: Sentence Frames; Sequencing Frames; and Writing Paper

Reciprocal Teaching refers to instructional activities in which teachers model, then help students learning using four strategies: summarizing, inferring, clarifying, and predicting. Once students have learned the strategies, they take turns in leading a dialogue about what has been read. Manage your student's behavior with a daily behavior note. Simply write their name, date, circle the students behavior, and add a note on the provided line.

Here is a homework planner that is kept in my student's binders. Planners are submitted every Monday morning with parent signature. Teacher comments are added every Friday. The file includes the following sections: teacher's message, student reminders, and parent signature.

Daily Reading Log Contract is a tool used for Back to School Night and is frequently revisited throughout the school year to have to accountable for their reading at home. The Form is in English and Spanish.

Here is a file that I used to include with our take home reading book library. The file was kept in a folder that included my students' reading log. A copy was also given to parents.

This rubric is for the audience to actively grade their peers as they see their peers present mathematic projects. The rubric contains the following subgroups: -Eye Contact & Posture (100 pts.) -Entusiasm & Pronunciation (100 pts.) -Organization & Subject Knowledge (100 its.) The students may also include one wish and one like of the presentation. The file also comes in color and in black & white.

Everyday as your students walk in the classroom, they sign in. Depending on your students, you can add last names.
