Using a dice (6, 8 , 10, 12 or even 20 sider) students drop onto the sheet. They either add their dice roll to the number the dice landed on or (for more of a challenge) multiply. Ideally we all have planned super-engaging lessons with rich and meaningful learning deeply embedded, however sometimes things happen. Life gets in the way and we need something quick and easy to get out there. This is where the Math Time Fillers comes in. This 25+ page booklet is filled with one-shot math sheets great for those times you were unable to plan, or early finishers, or even for a substitute teacher! Many of them can be adapted to varying grade levels from 2-8,or even higher. Many
Four Math pages with fun activities based on Math concepts. The sheets include symmetry, simple graphing, single digit addition and subtraction (and some 2 digit, but nothing larger than the teens). Also includes colour by numbers based on their answers, which are always a hit because...colouring:) Great for review as well as keeping their minds occupied with learning and colouring during a busy time! Ideal for Grades 3,4,5 though easily could be done by Grade 2. Grade 6 will enjoy it too.
This fun activity has the students go through the maze collecting numbers along the way. At the end they need to add up all the numbers they went through to get the treasure in the middle (with the correct answer). Easily modified by using white out on one or two numbers and changing the difficulty. Please send me any comments/concerns and, if possible, rate the activity. Thanks! This item can also be found in my Math Time Fillers Bundle.
Design an amusement park using various strands of Math! This mini-project includes 2D shapes, fractions, area, measurement, as well as data management and graphing. Great for end of year, culminating activities or even spiralling. You could also supplement this with Language Arts by having them create flyers/pamphlets or even commercials.

Students practice their Addition and Subtraction skills by solving these fun and engaging Math Mysteries. Each sheet contains 16 questions with three and/or four digit addition/subtraction. Great for early finishers, substitute teachers or just for fun practice!
Use these scratch off cards as rewards for all sorts of in-class behaviour and accomplishments. Simply write something inside the circle (points towards class game, free treats, free reading time, etc) and then place a scratch off sticker over top (purchased separately). I have used these in my gamified classroom and they are amazing! Scholastic sold scratch off stickers as well as many places online (Amazon and eBay).

Game based learning, gamification, and engaged lessons/activities that have meaningful learning embedded in them are the driving forces behind what I do.
