add/subtract chart from Math Strategies book

One of the strategies in the book "Math Strategies for those who learn differently" (grades 3-5). This is very helpful for students with rote memory difficulty. This prepares them for using a multiplication chart. You will find that the more they use it the better their recall for basic math facts.

Teaching style

Spiraling instruction. Introduce different strategies for understanding and performing the different math skills. Always apply the skills to "real world" application. Regardless of the way they feel when I first begin working with them, my students all become excited with their performance and abilities in math after only a few months.
