About the store
I love helping teachers and homeschool families create learning environments that meet the needs of all children with fun and engaging resources! I taught in a variety of different elementary grade levels and districts in Minnesota for just under ten years before I moved into a reading specialist role working with K-5 students for a few years. Today I am a stay-at-home mother of two high energy little girls. My plan is to send my girls to school, but I want to be involved and encourage my children to develop a love of learning in the walls of our home. I have used the resources I have created in the classroom and am currently using many of them with my oldest daughter to provide her with a great foundation as she enters kindergarten.

Experience

I love helping teachers and homeschool families create learning environments that meet the needs of all children with fun and engaging resources! I taught in a variety of different elementary grade levels and districts in Minnesota for just under ten years before I moved into a reading specialist role working with K-5 students for a few years. Today I am a stay-at-home mother of two high energy little girls. My plan is to send my girls to school, but I want to be involved and encourage my children to develop a love of learning in the walls of our home. Teaching style

As a teacher my focus is creating a positive atmosphere where students are given a variety of fun tools and resources to reach their educational goals. I believe that every child is unique and many times learning can look different for many students, so the learning environment should contain easy to use, differentiated, and engaging resources. The name of my store, Learning Looking Up, stems from my philosophy as an educator. My belief is that in order for students to learn they need to have a positive mindset when it comes to learning, holding their head high and believing in who God has created them to be. Being that we are so uniquely made, every child comes into the classroom with so many differences. Teachers need to have a plethora of tools and resources at their disposal to provide the interventions needed to help each individual student reach their educational goals. My hope is that the resources provided in Learning Looking Up will help you create an encouraging, fun, and engaging atmosphere in the walls of a school or at home that will allow you to provide lessons that meet the needs of all children.
