This is a lesson on Linear Programming, a topic usually covered in Algebra 2. The lesson contains student notes with blanks for vocab and space to do problems; teacher notes with the words filled in and problems done; a smartfile for your smartboard; and a worksheet for students to do after the lesson. This lesson should take 2-3 days to cover, depending on the pace at which your students are comfortable.
This activity will help you students determine the degree and leading coefficient of polynomials. They will become proficient in polynomial vocab while showing off their artistic side by coloring!
This foldable will help students learn and use the formulas for Law of Sines and Law of Cosines. The triangles help students position all the values they have and what they are trying to find. On the front is a hint to help them decide which formula to use. I hope your students can use these tools to master Law of Sines and Cosines!
This foldable is helpful when students are learning inverse trig functions (csc, sec, cot). They can use this as a resource during classwork, on their homework and even on a quiz/test! It helps them learn which function to use, and helps cement the relationship between the trig functions and their inverses.
Students will practice writing rules for geometric translations. Once they identify the correct rule for a graph, students use the information to correctly color a picture.
This foldable is helpful when students are learning trig functions (SohCahToa). They can use this as a resource during classwork, on their homework and even on a quiz/test! It helps them learn which function to use, especially when doing word problems. A great resource when teaching SohCahToa.
Students use SohCahToa to solve for the missing sides of right triangles. When solved, they will be able to correctly color the accompanying picture. A fun twist on a worksheet.
