This project provides geometry posters related to the formulas of area, perimeter and volume. Students will design an ultimate playground. Each design will incorporate the area and perimeter of the structures within the playground. Spreadsheets and tables will record the data and identify the percentage of space used for each part of the playground.

This is an expository writing unit pertaining to writing newspaper articles. Students will become familiar with the parts of a newspaper article and will learn the importance of the structure of its information. Information will be provided for students to practice organizing their newspaper article. The final assignment culminates in a fun exercise where students write a newspaper article based on a Greek myth.
