Teaching style

I seek to create purposeful and engaging tasks that are carefully matched to the needs and ability levels of young learners. This approach helps children to remain focused in class and enables them to feel a sense of achievement while learning. My goal is to support all students to ultimately 'have a go' by themselves and become successful independent learners. Guided through well-structured activities, they can develop essential learning skills while having fun.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I worked on an early years advisory team to develop educational outreach resources for Sesame Workshop. The materials were published and distributed to teachers throughout Northern Ireland.
