Hi, I’m Vanessa, the creator of Learning Studio Co. I am an experienced secondary math and arts educator and curriculum writer with a strong background in the Canadian curriculum. I have worked, and continue to work, with multiple curriculum writing companies internationally, developing courses and assessments used in diverse educational contexts. Alongside curriculum writing, I have taught and worked in secondary schools across multiple countries, and currently support and teach trainee teachers. I created Learning Studio Co. to share resources that do what teachers actually need them to do - diagnose understanding early, support consistency, and save time! Experience

Hi, I’m Vanessa, the creator of Learning Studio Co. I am an experienced secondary math and arts educator and curriculum writer with a strong background in the Canadian curriculum. I have worked, and continue to work, with multiple curriculum writing companies internationally, developing courses and assessments used in diverse educational contexts. Alongside curriculum writing, I have taught and worked in secondary schools across multiple countries, and currently support and teach trainee teachers. I created Learning Studio Co. to share resources that do what teachers actually need them to do - diagnose understanding early, support consistency, and save time! Every resource is carefully aligned to curriculum expectations and written to not only have students enjoy them, but teachers too!

Teaching style

I bring a creative, design-forward approach to everything I develop. Each resource is carefully structured, and designed to save teachers time, while keeping learning purposeful and most importantly, engaging. I am not interested in reinventing the wheel. Learning Studio Co. is built through ongoing collaboration with teachers, drawing on what works across diverse classrooms. Resources are designed to be used straight away, with depth built in — not added on — so teachers can focus on teaching, not extra planning. Above all, I believe learning should be enjoyable and confidence-building. When students feel supported, capable, and connected to their learning, engagement improves and they are far more likely to develop a positive relationship with the subject.

My own education history

I hold a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Mathematics and Visual Arts, as well as a Bachelor of Education, with qualifications across the Junior, Intermediate, and Senior divisions and a specialism in Visual Arts. I have also studied Interior Design, which strongly influences how I structure, design, and present my resources — with clarity, intention, and visual accessibility always in mind.
