Students can explore and develop their understanding of partitioning numbers and addition with these Part, Part, Whole resources. This resource contains two activities; 3 types of part part whole mats1 type of part part whole paper chain (with two different sizing for the paper chains) These two resources are black and white and are designed to be printed onto coloured paper for desired effect.

These Christmas Math Paper Chains encourage students to recognise different representations of number as well as build confidence with ordering numbers 1-20. Each number (1-20) is represented in different ways (picture, tens frames, tally marks, numeral, number word, dice etc). This resource is designed to be printed onto coloured paper (I chose Christmas themed colours!) but it can also be printed onto plain white paper and students can colour in each strip of paper.

Days of the Week Paper ChainsI made these to use with my class as part of our focus on learning the days of the week in Maths. Each day of the week can be traced by students. Students can draw a picture of themselves doing an activity on each paper chain, making connections between activities and the days of the week. E.g. On Monday I go to music...
