Learning to Launch

I am so excited to share these with you! They have been a big hit at my school this year for our primary grades 1-3! This is how we use them: Every Monday, we send a sheet home for students to hang on the fridge. They cut the strips down the line, and pick a sentence to RIP, READ, & WRITE each day or at their own pace. Here is a great activity that your primary students will LOVE... and you will too because it is just PRINT and GO! I like to introduce students to elements of color and line to prepare them for this activity. We practice making all different styles of lines. They use a sharpie to make their mitten designs, and then colour them with warm colors, and the background with cool colors. Nice WARM mittens on a COOL frosty day!
